State Spring Testing
The third through sixth graders will be taking the Grade Level Assessments (formerly known as MAP Tests). The third, fourth and sixth graders will each have two math sessions and three communication arts sessions. The fifth graders will have two math sessions, four communication arts sessions and three science sessions.
We have scheduled the elementary testing window for April 16- May 4. The majority of our testing will be done in the mornings from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. In the weeks before testing, I will have a more specific schedule that I will send home with every child.
First and second graders will be taking the TerraNova tests which cover all subject areas. These tests will take place April 30th - May 4th.

Regularly Scheduled Testing
During the school year, the students will once again be taking the Gates-McGinite Reading Assessment. This test is given in the fall, winter and spring. It helps us to make sure each child is receiving the best reading instruction at their level.
Students will, also, continue taking the CBM Assessments throughout the year. These are short
online assessments that monitor each child’s skills in reading and math. These assessments
help us to recognize problem areas in which the child may need extra help.
